On this week’s episode of “Ithaca Now,” we spoke with the Director of Public Relations for the Franzika Racker Center, an organization that provides opportunities for people with disabilities. Our sister station VIC Radio will be raising funds for them next weekend during the 29th Annual 50 Hour Marathon.

Actress and advocate Geena Davis came to Ithaca College’s campus this week to talk about gender in media. The Citizen’s Police Academy also tackled issues of diversity and mental health, which we discussed in more depth in this update.

And a local coffee shop is brewing in neighborhoods. We went to see how New York City is responding to their business.
