House of Shalimar to Close After 40 Years

After almost 40 years, the House of Shalimar is closing its doors at the end of the year. The store was originally located in New York City and in Collegetown before moving to its spot on the Commons downtown in 1974. House of Shalimar was one of the first stores in Ithaca to offer and sell imported products in the area.
